Installation: Download the file -Connect your PSP to your computer via USB, -Place your PSP in "USB mode" with the "USB Connection" -Right-click on the file you downloaded, -Choose "Extract files ...", (WinRAR is recommended) -Select destination as the letter assigned to your PSP by the system. -Press OK and wait for the extraction of files -Quit the "USB mode" on your PSP -Go to the menu Memory Stick to launch Update 5.02 (Kernel addon) 150 Kernel for cfw 5.02GEN-A

Well folks, it has been a long time in waiting and to all involved I apologize. Noob911's own tbdawg reviewed the D2SUN/Wii-Clip combo awhile back, but because of technical issues with the site and personal issues on my part I am just now getting it posted. The D2SUN and Wii-Clip used are V1.1 and V5B respectivly. I know they are older models, but the function, use, and ease of install are still the same with the newer versions. So without further delay I present tbdawg's D2SUN/Wii-Clip review and video.

PSP CFW 5.02GEN-A is been released!! |
Finally Miriam released the new CFW 5.02GEN-A so yeap he's back and giving us in this new year a new custom firmware. Features: - Suspend, Reset and Pandora options added in the recovery. - Hide MAC Address can be enabled via configuration in recovery. - VSH Recovery can now be opened with an option in the vshmenu. - You can quickly exit the recovery by pressing the Select button. - Game Categories Plugin by Bubbletune integrated (enabled by default, can be disabled in recovery). - Option to reboot in to official firmware in the recovery, it will remain like this until the next cold reset. (Slim Only, support for the Phat PSP might be added later) - Slim Colors Patch by Bubbletune integrated, enable in the recovery and flash 13-27.bmp to your flash0. This will allow you to use the Slim Colors on your Phat PSP. - Higher homebrew compatibility compared to other 5.02 custom firmwares. - Functional 5.02 pops (keep pops compatibility in mind). Using Game Categories (taken from the original readme): - Create folders prefixed with 'CAT_' in the GAME, GAME150, GAME5XX or ISO folder. - Fill them with everything you want to appear for that specific category (if you have the same category name in two or more folders they will be mixed). - Keep the Sony file length limitations in mind, due to the name of the category being added to the total length, the length of each filename will increase even more. If a corrupt icon shows up, try lowering the length of the filename. - Boot your PSP, open vshmenu and select the appropriate category. As for the 1.50 Kernel he will release in a few days. 5.00 popsloader from DA can be used in this CFW and yes now you have two choices before you install 5.02GEN-A 1.-Lite version: This version of the custom firmware aims at supporting game developers and allowing things such as running homebrew, modding your XMB, etc. But removing support for POPs and ISO's. 2.-Full version: as we know them so far support POPs and ISO's. 5.02GEN-A OFW 5.02

Experts Use PS3 Farm to Hack Web Browser CA Certificate!! |
A team of security researchers have revealed a major vulnerability in the Internet infrastructure that hackers could use to launch undetectable attacks and intercept secured online communications when users visit bank and e-commerce Web sites. The team of research experts from the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States managed to mimic the digital identity and authority assigned to RapidSSL, one of the companies that act as "certificate authorities" (CAs). These companies issue digital security credentials in order to uniquely identity Web sites. The experts found out that RapidSSL along with a few other CA companies are still signing their digital certificates using the weak cryptographic method called MD5. The team of researchers thought they could exploit that weakness and they were right. The researchers used a homegrown, massive array of number-crunching machines and managed to produce a virtual clone of the digital signature RapidSSL used to sign SSL certificates. The researchers used a farm of about 200 Play Station 3 gaming consoles. A hacker possessing those credentials who had seized control of a large network could intercept requests of users trying to visit an e-commerce or banking Web site. By intercepting the users, the hacker could redirect them to a counterfeit version of the site designed to steal the user's credentials. The conclusion: "Signing certs with MD5 in 2008 is negligent," said Jacob Appelbaum, researcher with the Tor Project. Applebaum said a good hacker with experience in this area could duplicate the work done by the research team in about a month. Source: efluxmedia

NIS Confirms Disgaea 2 For PSP |
The game is scheduled for a March 26, 2009 release in Japan, :( there is no word yet on a North American release. The game will feature a score of improvements and enhancements, plus a variety of extras and bonuses with some special new chapter exclusively for Axel (complete with his own stages), two new demon classes, access to the female Samurai and Death Saber classes, new weapons and items, and they'll even toss in the MagicChange system from Disgaea 3. It's like going into the future to bring new updates from a sequel back to a predecessor! NIS will take things up another notch by allowing the player to increase character movement speed, and will provide us with an enhanced camera and smoother menu navigation. If you're an RPG fan, you most certainly need a PSP these days, but then again, a whole lot of hardcore RPG fans already bought Disgaea 2 way back when it released on the PS2. However, if you didn't and you're looking for a great turn-based strat/RPG to pass the time, there has never been anything quite so deep or absorbing as the Disgaea games. Source: psxextreme
